1Good Idea, Very Poor Execution  Dec 23, 2007 By Georgia Mom
My son loves to paint so I thought this would be perfect for him.

The no-spill lids and fat handled brushes are a great idea - but that's as far as it goes. Did anyone even TRY this product before putting it on the market??? The brush handles are so heavy they tip over the paint cups. The only solution is to fill the paint cups up with enough paint to make them heavy enough so the brushes don't tip them, but then you get to problem no.2: there are NO LIDS for the paint cups. This means that when you are done painting you have to somehow get all the paint back into their individual containers. But, then you encounter the NEXT problem: if your kid is like mine, all the paint is mixed up, no matter how many times you tell him the yellow brush goes in the yellow paint. So now that all the paint is basically brown you might as well just throw it away. Which is a complete waste. So you go back to just putting a little bit of paint in the cups, which of course continue to tip over because of the weight of the brush handles. VERY FRUSTRATING FOR EVERYONE.

The second time we used the brushes all of the bristles on one of them fell out in one big clump. We tried to glue them back in again but to no avail.

Overall, great idea, poor excecution, and not very good quality.

1Too much wrong with it - use Melissa & Doug instead  Mar 04, 2012 By Baby buff
Great idea but not well made. The paint cup inserts are very hard to put on. The brushes are barely long enough to reach the bottom of the cups, requiring you to pour way more paint in then needed. No lid to store the pots with the paint in afterwards, making for lots of wasted paint. Have tried Melissa & Doug's version since - love it!
