Family in harmony Aug 29, 2011

After this weeks storm took out our power i thought I was going to go crazy trying to keep my kids busy. My husband reminded me of the Fundanas I had tucked away from our summer camping trip! What an idea! The kids have had a blast!! No fighting!! Thank you Fundana thanks to you and the weather, video games have had a break and my children are playing together!!!!! Love it!!!!

In an age where every toy seems to have a hundred plastic parts, Fundanas are a great alternative. They are great for at home, or to stick in your car or bag. Creative, fun, they are a great "toy" for nature lovers and learners of any age.

I work for an environmental education program and we purchased several Fundanas! We offer community programs that include interpretive hikes and self-guided hikes. Fundanas are the perfect tool for engaging all ages in exploration and discovery! They are a great way make being outdoors even more fun.

Fundanas are a great teaching tool! People don't even realize they're learning new things while they are being used! And as an educator who is used to packing around a LOT of stuff to make sure people get the best experience I absolutely LOVE these! They are so lightweight and easy to carry. They fit in anywhere. I keep them in my car, so I can have them at my fingertips whenever I need them for a program. Fantastic tool for teachers, interpreters, and families! If you get one, you'll want them all!

I am a professional environmental educator and LOVE using Fundanas in my programs and summer camps. I use them as scavenger hunt lists on hikes, competitive team blackout bingo, and inspiration for my own games. One of my favorite features of Fundanas (besides being packable in my pocket) is that I can use a washable marker on them to either assign squares to kids on a hike or to check off boxes for bingo, then wash the Fundana in the sink, and it's all clean! The only thing I would caution is to hand wash instead of machine wash the Fundanas--I have a couple that started to fray at the edges after running them through a washing machine.
On a side note, Caryl (the creator of Fundanas) is a wonderful business owner. She took orders personally by phone (doesn't need to do it anymore though--congratulations!) and fulfilled them right away, without charging anything for shipping. She emails her customers with sneak peeks of the newest Fundanas and special promotions, and clearly appreciates each and every one of her customers.
Fundanas are a great investment for education or for just plain fun!
