I bought this for a 9 year old girl who wanted to get into painting. This is too simplistic for her. The sections are LARGE to paint, but very few per painting. I would think a 6-8 year old would probably per perfect.
We had fun doing it, and each board only took about 2 hours to complete.
One side note on the paint - it was totally dried out in our kit. I had to add water and then smash up the paint to get it all hydrated again. Took quite a while.
