The game components are high quality, and the game itself is cleverly conceived. Essentially, eight alien cards are placed on the board, and players move about striving to capture the greatest number. They can be captured off the board or from other players. Occasionally, players draw from a deck where a card may enable them to take an alien from the board, from another player, or it may specify that an already captured alien be returned to the board. Personally, I like this feature;it serves to reverse players' fortunes. On the other hand,it extends playing time considerably. I've played it twice now with my ten- and seven- year-olds,and we have yet to complete a game. We invested perhaps a half hour on each occasion. I wouldn't want to be a game designer nowadays, where increasingly shortened attention spans have to be taken into account. This game is every bit worth its retail price; a prospective buyer needs to consider the attention spans of the children for whom it's intended.
